Easter clothes
I like to coordinate the clothes for Easter. I decided on "navy" as I found this darling dress for Caroline. I bought the boys matching ties. Too bad this is the best group picture of us on easter morning. Seriously. Oh well, we will try again the next time we get dressed up!

Egg Dying
We dyed our eggs on Saturday night. They kids did a great job. Since we are not big hard boiled egg eaters, I only boiled enough for them to have 4 each. They were very careful and worked very hard to make each egg count.
Montauk Day 2
Just a couple more pictures. We had a leisurely morning starting with a walk on the beach. Thomas took a long nap afterwards so the rest of us played games and did a puzzle. After he woke up, we headed out, first stopping at a state park on the beach, hoping to find a trail I had read about in a book. No maps though, so we played at the playground instead.
We had a lovely time at lunch at Bay Burger then found the hike we wanted...at the Morton Wildlife Refuge. As we entered the refuge, an older couple met us and gave the kids some nuts and seeds. If you held still, the black topped chickadees would eat out of your hand. Caroline had success with this.
Then we took a lovely stroll to the beach, 3/4 mile. The beach was calm and lovely to play. Headed back to the hotel for some dinner and family time. It was a great day!
Montauk Day 1
We decided to take a couple of days of Spring break and go to Montauk! We had a wonderful 2 days (day 3 was raining so we left a little bit early!)
We headed straight to the Montauk Lighthouse. Several of us climbed to the top and had some wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. We also played on the beach after we checked in. We had a nice late lunch at John's Pancake House. It was sunny and windy. That night we went to the local pizza place and watched Up. So great to just be all together!
Red and White Quilt Show
Caroline and I had the good fortune of being able to attend the Red and White Quilt show in Manhattan. It was the largest quilt show ever. The quilts were stunning. The design/hanging of the quilts was a visual masterpiece. I am so glad we got to go! It was a wonderful day!
Basketball Season
Josh played on a basketball team this winter. His team was Purdue. It was a great experience for him! He had great coaches and pretty nice teammates. They even won the championship! This was all very exciting since it was in the middle of Jimmer-Mania! At the championship game we all showed up in our BYU shirts. Very fun and memorable day (stressful game too...someone in my family complained I yell too much at games!)
