My life at 5 months
Well, hi everyone. Thomas here. Just wanted to report on how things have gone. First, I turn 5 months old tomorrow! Can you believe it? I am constantly drooling and mouthing anything I can. I love playing in the exersaucer, in short intervals. I'm quite a squaker, but a little stingy with my laughs. I roll over both ways. I can blow raspberries. I love being one of the boys. I get toted around everywhere and am generally a pretty good sport about it. Josh especially loves to show me off at school. I am really looking forward to meeting all my aunts, uncles and cousins over the next few weeks. I know I will be a joy on the 6 hour flight to San Diego! Mom gets a little uptight about my naps, but I don't blame her, things go better when I sleep in my own bed. I hope these blue eyes will stay around...I get lots of comments from strangers about them. My nicknames include boo boo, T-T, TT Bird, Baby and Tommy. Well that's all for now.
Josh's big week
Here are some photos from Josh's big week. On Tuesday, he turned 11! He wanted a family dinner of pork chops and mashed potatoes. You can see his cake (strawberry with vanilla frosting, decorated with Mike and Ike's--his favorite candy). He loved his gifts, including Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Outdoor Life: active challenge for the Wii. He also wanted a Rivera shirt to add to his Yankee shirt collection.
Wednesday he graduated from Cottle. He wanted to wear his suit. He is with his wonderful teacher, Ms. Viswanathan at the reception after graduation. I took Josh and Caroline out to Outback for per his graduation request. They were so cute sharing their sundae and talking in their british accents. (I told Mark that special languages are a key part of sibling relationships...at least among the Baers, so I have a high tolerance for them. This is one of the things they do, anyone who is around us this summer will catch hear the others soon enough!) He also had his first 11 year old boy scout meeting on Wed. He's excited to go on his first boy scout campout on Friday night. It was a good week for him. So grateful for this loving, wonderful, helpful, intelligent, righteous boy!
It's Prom Week
Well, my dear husband is hosting a 80s Prom this week for our friends in New York. We really hope you can all make it! It's going to be a lot of fun!
This is to celebrate his 40th birthday, which is actually next month, but we will be out of town. If you somehow did not receive the official Evite, please please forgive us and come anyways, everyone is welcome! It starts at 8 p.m. at the Tuckahoe Community Center (as he says "cheesy elegant") on Sat. June 19. Dress is meant to be no stress--semi-formal, prom wear or 80s costumes are encouraged. Dancing is the main activity of the night.
